Bought several Windstorm Safety Whistles. One for my wife and daughter to put on their key chain -- for added protection. Our nearly two year old grandson got hold of the key chain, put whistle in his mouth and blew into it. We managed to take away the whistle just as he blew into it. The sound was real loud (even for his young age). This is not a toy but in an emergency can be a life saver. I'm buying more to give out as gifts.

These are the loudest I have ever heard, although after using it, I may never hear again. Bought for calling the dogs on NC beaches, where the wind is usually stiff and eats any attempt to shout into the it. These worked. All plastic, but seem very sturdy.

This is a fantastic whistle. A majority of the members of our flyfishing club carry these on their personnal floqtation devices while fishing.

This whistle is outstanding. I blow into the windstorm and my dog comes running back home, even when he's three miles out in the woods. The only whistle i'll ever need on land or out on the fishing boat.
